In addition to the boarding school, today it also accommodates a hotel with 45 stylish rooms offering modern comfort with the peace and aesthetics of an abbey.

As a space where centuries of spirituality meet contemporary architecture, the solutions need to respect tradition while embracing the latest functionality.

The special character of the abbey is reflected in both its architecture and the carefully chosen furnishings. One example is the special versions of the ORBIS wall-mount washbasins from Schmidlin, which have been installed in the modern rooms of the hotel and boarding school as well as in the monks’ cells, renovated after 100 years to provide desperately needed new accommodation in the abbey.

The high-quality wall-mount washbasins have a compact design and clear style, making them ideal for the functional yet stylish rooms and cells in the hotel, boarding school and abbey cloister.

When designing and furnishing the bathrooms, the focus was on a subtle, functional style that suits the calm and simple architecture of the abbey. Durability, low maintenance and customizability were also key priorities for the client.
