Permanently watertight and maintenance-free#

The Schmidlin tile flange is a 3 cm high, upward-formed enameled rim, half of which is covered by the wall tiles. This ensures a completely watertight wall connection – without the need for a silicone joint. With a Schmidlin tile flange, the transition between the wall and the rim remains permanently watertight and maintenance-free. Discoloured or mouldy silicone joints are no longer an issue.

Schmidlin bathtubs can be manufactured with one-, two- or three-sided tile flanges, as well as with partial flanges. Schmidlin shower bases are also available with tile flanges on all four sides.

Advantages of Schmidlin steel tile flanges#

With our steel tile flanges, you benefit in three ways compared to a conventional silicone joint: enhanced hygiene, greater safety and permanent maintenance-free performance.

  1. Schmidlin Stahl-Zargen bei Badewanne und Duschwanne in modern gefliestem Badezimmer. Schmidlin steel tile flanges on a bathtub and shower base in a modern tiled bathroom
  2. Close-up of a Schmidlin tile flange on a bathtub; the edge in glazed titanium steel aligns seamlessly with dark stoneware tiles, precisely fitted and flush with the wall cladding.
  3. Schmidlin partial steel tile flange on a bathtub with dark wall tiling
  1. Steel tile flanges are partially covered by the wall tiles and therefore ensure a completely watertight wall connection without the need for a silicone joint.

  2. With a shortened tile flange, the front can be neatly tiled over, preserving the clean lines of the wall tiles.

  3. Partial tile flanges can be custom-made for any side. This flexibility allows the Schmidlin tile flange to be used in almost any bathroom situation.
