Cookies#

This website uses cookies. These small text files store information relating to the user while the website is being used.

Cookies make it possible, in particular, to determine the frequency of use and number of users of the pages, to analyse patterns of website usage, and to make our offering more user-friendly.

Cookies remain stored beyond the end of a browser session and can be retrieved again when the website is visited at a later time. Cookies can be fully or partially disabled and deleted at any time in the browser settings. Without cookies, the website may not be available in full.

Server Log Files#

The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname/IP address of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request

This data cannot be assigned to specific individuals. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to review this data subsequently if we become aware of specific indications of unlawful use.

Integration of third-party providers#

Google Analytics#

We use Google Analytics on our websites. This is a service provided by a third party, which may be located in any country in the world. In the case of Google Analytics, this is Google LLC in the USA, www.google.com.

Google Analytics enables us to measure and evaluate the use of our website in a non-personalised manner. Permanent cookies set by the service provider are also used for this purpose.

The service provider does not receive any personal data from us and does not store any IP addresses. However, it may track your use of the website, combine this information with data from other websites you have visited and which are also tracked by service providers, and use these findings for its own purposes, for example to control advertising.

If you have registered with the service provider yourself, the service provider will also be able to identify you. In this case, the processing of your personal data by the service provider is carried out under the responsibility of the service provider and in accordance with its own privacy policy.

The service provider only informs us how our respective website is used and does not provide us with any information about you personally.

We have activated IP anonymisation on this website. This means that the IP addresses which Google Analytics necessarily has to transmit to the Google Analytics servers for visitors to the websites are automatically shortened by the last digits within a very short time. For further information, please refer to Google Marketing Platform.

Google Ads#

This website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you have reached our website via an advertisement placed by Google, Google Ads will set a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an advertisement placed by Google.

These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognise that the user clicked on the advertisement and was redirected to this page.

Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked across the websites of Ads customers. The information obtained with the help of the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers are informed of the total number of users who clicked on their advertisement and were redirected to a page provided with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can personally identify users.

If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can reject the setting of the cookie required for this purpose, for example by selecting a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies, or by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com”.

Please note that you must not delete the opt-out cookies for as long as you do not wish measurement data to be recorded. If you delete all cookies in your browser, you will need to set the respective opt-out cookie again.

Google Maps#

This website uses Google Maps. This enables us to display interactive maps directly on the website and allows you to use the map function conveniently.

When you visit the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. This takes place regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in, or whether no user account exists.

If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account. If you do not wish this data to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button.

Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the needs-based design of its website. Such evaluation is carried out in particular, even for users who are not logged in, to provide needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website.

You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles; to exercise this right, you must contact Google directly. Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by Google, as well as further information on your rights in this regard and settings options to protect your privacy, can be found at Google Privacy Policy: .

YouTube#

Functions of the “YouTube” service are integrated into this website. We use plugins from the YouTube video portal on our websites. YouTube is operated by YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. YouTube is a subsidiary of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We use this plugin to improve the user experience by means of videos. Each time a page offering one or more YouTube video clips is accessed, a direct connection is established between your browser and a YouTube server in the USA. In the process, information about your visit and your IP address is stored.

Through interactions with the YouTube plugins, for example by clicking the play button, this information is also transmitted to YouTube and stored by YouTube. If you have a YouTube user account and do not want YouTube to collect data about you via this website and link it to your membership data stored by YouTube, you must log out of YouTube before visiting this website.

In addition, YouTube calls up the Google Analytics analysis tool via an iFrame in which the video is displayed; please refer to section 4.1 in this regard. This is YouTube’s own tracking, to which we have no access. You can prevent tracking by Google Analytics by using the deactivation tools that Google offers for certain internet browsers.

The legal basis for the aforementioned data processing is our legitimate interest in the commercial operation of our online offering pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Further information on the collection and use of your data by YouTube can be found in the YouTube or Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Facebook#

The Facebook Pixel of the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA, is integrated on our pages.

When you visit our pages, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Facebook server via the Facebook Pixel. Facebook thereby receives the information that you have visited our page with your IP address. This allows Facebook to assign your visit to our pages to your user account.

We may use the information obtained in this way to display Facebook Ads or for tracking functionalities. Please note that, as the provider of these pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or of how it is used by Facebook.

Further information can be found in Facebook’s Privacy Policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

If you do not wish data to be collected via Custom Audiences, you can deactivate Custom Audiences here.

Right to object#

If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right, pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, to object to the processing of your personal data, provided that there are grounds relating to your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct advertising.

In the latter case, you have a general right to object, which we will implement without you having to state any particular situation.

If you wish to exercise your right to object, simply send an e-mail to: info@schmidlin.ch

Changes#

We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice. The version currently published on our website shall apply.
