The Schmidlin brand

In 1947, Wilhelm Schmidlin founded Switzerland’s first and, to this day, only steel bathtub factory in Oberarth. Twenty-two years later, Eduard and Margrit Wullschleger-Schmidlin took over the management of the family business. Since 2007, the company’s fortunes have been in the hands of Beat and Urs Wullschleger.

We specialise in fulfilling your individual requirements. Our made-to-measure products are divided into two areas: Vario and custom-made products.

Vario offers made-to-measure products with simple ordering, fast delivery and fixed prices. Bathtubs, shower trays and washbasins can be adapted entirely to your wishes as custom-made products – whether extended, shortened or widened, with individual tap holes and a variety of corner shapes.

A tile flange is a 3 cm high enamelled upstand on the edge of the tub, half of which is covered by wall tiles. This eliminates the need for silicone in the wall area and guarantees an absolutely watertight wall connection. A tile flange offers a hygienic, durable and visually appealing solution.
