We provide a 30-year manufacturer’s warranty on our bathtubs, shower bases, shower areas and washbasins. The warranty covers all manufacturing defects. It does not cover other defects, in particular those resulting from improper use or external influences.

The warranty is only valid if the product is installed professionally by a qualified plumber, in accordance with the installation recommendations, installation instructions, and all applicable regulations and standards.

For products equipped with the dirt-repellent surface finish CLEANEFFECT, the warranty also covers the CLEANEFFECT surface.

For products equipped with the anti-slip finish ANTIGLISS PRO, the warranty also covers the ANTIGLISS PRO surface treatment.

For products equipped with the anti-slip AQUAGRIP, a 5-year warranty is provided.

We provide a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty on our whirl systems. The bathtub itself is covered by a 30-year warranty. All technical components of the whirl system, including optional features, are covered by a 2-year warranty from the confirmed commissioning date of the whirl system. If a maintenance contract is concluded, the warranty can be extended up to 12 years, provided the contract is maintained throughout this period. The warranty covers all manufacturing defects.

The warranty does not cover other defects, in particular those resulting from improper use or external influences.

The warranty is only valid if the bathtub with whirl system is installed by a qualified professional in accordance with the installation instructions and applicable regulations and standards, and if commissioning is confirmed on the registration card.

This warranty does not cover, in particular, the following damage and costs:

Damage caused by contamination of the water used (e.g. unsuitable bath additives or cosmetics, dirt particles, limescale, as well as chemical or electrochemical effects).
Costs resulting from missing or improperly executed access openings.

Schmidlin provides a 5-year warranty on all accessories.
For third-party products, the manufacturer’s warranty terms apply.

Care of products made of glazed titanium steel

Rinse the surfaces well#

Rinse all glazed titanium steel (enamel) surfaces well with water, then dry with a soft, absorbent cloth.

Remove dirt#

Remove light dirt with a mild cleaning agent (e.g. dishwashing liquid or glass cleaner). For more stubborn dirt, allow the cleaner to take effect briefly. Rinse thoroughly with cold water and dry with a soft, absorbent cloth.

Remove limescale deposits#

Limescale build-up can be prevented by consistently drying the surfaces. Limescale residues can be removed using a lukewarm water–vinegar solution diluted at a 1:1 ratio.
Important: do not use concentrated vinegar undiluted. Rinse thoroughly with water. Limescale residues can also be carefully scraped off with a razor blade.

Using the wrong cleaning agents can cause damage!#

Only clean Schmidlin products made of glazed titanium steel with liquid cleaning agents suitable for enamel or glass.
The following cleaning agents are not suitable:

Highly abrasive cleaning agents and scouring pads
Strongly acidic cleaning agents (e.g. concentrated citric or acetic acid – always follow dilution instructions!)
Products intended for toilet cleaning
Aggressive descaling agents
Cleaning and disinfecting agents containing chlorine or phosphoric acid
Laundry detergents or washing machine solutions

When using drain cleaners, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and pour the product directly into the drain. Remove any splashes on the enamel surface immediately.

Products with Schmidlin ANTIGLISS PRO

To ensure that the enamelled anti-slip surface Schmidlin ANTIGLISS PRO remains free from residues and discolouration for many years, please observe the following care instructions:

Clean the surface after each use with a cloth and clean, warm water. For best results, gently dab the surface dry with a white cloth after use.
Important: avoid drying with lint-prone cloths.
For daily care, we recommend using a mild bathroom or all-purpose cleaner (please follow the manufacturer’s instructions).
Any build-up of soap residues, oils or fats should be removed regularly using standard alkaline-based cleaning agents.
For more stubborn dirt, we recommend using our enamel cleaner.
Surfaces with Schmidlin ANTIGLISS PRO should be cleaned regularly with a soft brush (e.g. a dishwashing brush).

The following are not suitable for cleaning: aggressive cleaning agents such as drain cleaners or products containing sand or strong abrasives. These may damage the Schmidlin ANTIGLISS PRO surface coating.

Products with Schmidlin AQUAGRIP

To ensure that the AQUAGRIP anti-slip treatment remains effective for many years, please follow the care instructions below:

Clean the surface after each use with a cloth and clean, warm water. For best results, we recommend drying the surface immediately after use.
For daily care, we recommend using a mild bathroom or all-purpose cleaner (please follow the manufacturer’s instructions).
Any build-up of soap residues, oils or fats should be removed regularly using standard alkaline-based cleaning agents.
For more stubborn dirt, we recommend using brushes with soft plastic or natural bristles.

The following are not suitable for cleaning: the Schmidlin enamel cleaner, as well as aggressive cleaning agents such as drain cleaners or products containing sand or strong abrasives. These may damage the Schmidlin AQUAGRIP anti-slip treatment.

Products with Schmidlin CLEANEFFECT

To ensure that the water- and dirt-repellent properties of Schmidlin CLEANEFFECT are maintained for many years, please follow the care instructions below:

Before cleaning, rinse the bath with warm water
Then clean the bath with a soft, damp cloth
For heavier soiling, use a standard bathroom cleaner or a non-abrasive household cleaner

The following are not suitable for cleaning: the Schmidlin enamel cleaner, as well as aggressive cleaning agents such as drain cleaners or products containing sand or strong abrasives. These may damage the Schmidlin CLEANEFFECT surface coating.
