CERVO Mountain Boutique Resort, Zermatt

CERVO hotel in Zermatt at night, surrounded by snow-covered trees and illuminated chalets

The design of CERVO creates a balance between Alpine chalet, lodge, hunting lodge and just the right dose of modernity. The architecture takes up the distinctive features of its exclusive location on the edge of the forest and incorporates them as a whole.

Cervo Mountain Boutique Resort - Zermatt#

Since December 2009, Seraina and Daniel F. Lauber have been hosts at their own hotel and restaurant in a dream location in Zermatt with views of the Matterhorn. Already in its first year of business, the CERVO Mountain Boutique Resort attracted attention and has since received several awards.

Eight chalets with spacious rooms and suites make up the hotel. All chalets are easily accessible by lift and via a footpath. Each chalet has its own private wellness area for the hotel guests staying there, with a sauna, steam bath, massage room, relaxation room with fireplace and terrace.

In all of the tastefully designed and comfortable chalets, with a total of 36 rooms and suites, the owners chose Schmidlin products for the bathroom and shower areas – for their fitting style and quality.

The design of CERVO creates a balance between Alpine chalet, lodge, hunting lodge and just the right dose of modernity. The architecture takes up the distinctive features of its exclusive location on the edge of the forest and incorporates them as a whole. The project was carried out by the Zermatt architectural firm MLS under the direction of Roman Mooser, together with Zurich interior architect Roger Bächtold and his P.5 team.

«After a wonderful day of skiing, there is nothing better than relaxing – whether by the fireplace or in a warm bathtub. We chose Schmidlin products for the bathroom because the quality and origin are right.»
